Communal area cleaning for residential blocks

Entrances, corridors, lifts and stairwells in residential blocks kept presentable, on a scheduled round. It is the first thing every resident and viewer sees, and the part of the building nobody living there is responsible for.

The first thing anyone sees, kept that way.

The communal areas set the impression of a block before anyone reaches a front door. A tired entrance or a marked lift tells a resident, a viewer or a buyer how the building is run, whatever the flats are like inside.

We keep them presentable on a scheduled round: the entrance, the corridors, the lifts, the stairwells and the touchpoints everyone uses. One contact for the block, and a standard that holds between visits.

The communal sequence

How a communal round runs.

01
Block walked

We walk the communal areas, agree the standard and the round, and scope it to the building.

02
Scheduled

A regular round is booked in, weekly or more often for busier blocks, with one named contact.

03
Cleaned

Each round covers the entrance, corridors, lifts, stairwells and touchpoints to the agreed standard.

04
Kept consistent

The same team runs the block where possible, so the standard holds and problems get spotted early.

These four steps are specific to residential blocks. They sit inside the six-stage operating cycle we run on every contract. See how we work

Scope

What a communal clean does not cover.

Stated plainly so the round is predictable. Any of the below can be arranged separately where you need it.

Inside the flats

We clean the communal areas. Cleaning inside a resident's flat is a separate arrangement.

Repairs and maintenance

We report faults in the communal areas. Repairs sit with the managing agent or freeholder.

Grounds and gardens

External grounds and gardening are a separate service.

Waste collection

We keep the bin store presentable. Trade and bulky waste collection is arranged separately.
