Serviced accommodation cleaning, what to specify
Serviced accommodation sells a hotel-standard stay without a hotel behind it, and the changeover is where that promise is kept or broken. Guests do not grade on effort. Here is what a changeover has to include, and the specification that lets you hand the work to a cleaning partner without handing over the standard.

A serviced accommodation changeover is four jobs in one visit: the clean itself, a full linen change, restocking consumables, and a property check with any damage or maintenance reported the same day. Operators who buy it as a clean alone end up doing the other three jobs themselves, usually at the worst possible moment.
The standard guests judge
A guest walking into a serviced apartment applies hotel expectations to it within the first minute: linen crisp and hotel-folded, bathroom reset to looking unused, kitchen clear with nothing left from the previous stay, and the small staging details, towels placed, consumables set out, that read as care. Reviews rarely say the cleaning was adequate. They say spotless or they mention the hair on the bathroom floor, and both sentences follow the property around.
What to specify
When to hand it over
Cleaning your own units works at one or two properties. It stops working at the point a same-day changeover collides with anything else in your life, which is usually the moment the calendar starts filling properly. The honest test: if a cleaner cancelling tomorrow means you are cleaning tomorrow, the operation has no cover, and cover is the thing an operator actually buys from a cleaning partner. The specification above is what makes the handover safe.
